Do's and Dont's

Every Culture is different. Things which are acceptable in a Country, may not be acceptable in other Country. Some of our habits or behaviour seems bad in other Country but may be acceptable in our Country.

As Singapore is in Asia, you can find most Asian Culture here. Singapore is framed with Strict Rules and Regulations inorder to bring dignity, reduce crime and provide security to the people . Violating it imposed with big fines or legal penalities and/or jailed. There would be general anti-social laws in any contry which is also followed here, but apart from it certain small activities which are not accepted or must be followed here.

- Smoking is prohibited in public places
- Eating and Drinking in public buses & trains is not acceptable.
- Respecting Elders and women is more important here. Any misbehaving is considered as high crime.
- Road Crossing in RED or in non signal area is considered as irregular and against traffic laws.
- Defaming a person or anything without substantial proof is not obeyed and may be sued for the same.
- chewing gum is banned and importing it is prohibited.
- Drunk and Drive is prohibited , if caught must face with high penalties and license would be cancelled.
- Entry into the bus at middle/rear doors is considered as irregular.
- Traveling without ticket or without taping ezlink card in Bus is considered as irregular and be charged
  with fines.
- Drug abuse is a very serious crime, may result in very serious punishment.
- Dropping litter is serious offence
- Forgery and fraud is seriously punished.
